Happy Summer to all my students in division 3!

Dear Division 3 students,
I hope some of you will check back on the blog and see this message. Tell your friends to read it - if they have not been to the blog for a while.

Today was suppose to be the last day of school for all of you.
I really can't believe the year has come to an end.
I am lucky in that I will see all of you next year.
Good Luck to Nicole in the LFI program next year.

If you are spending your time cleaning out your bedroom - and you come across any books that have my stickers on them please feel free to return them to school - Ms. Taylor and myself are here 8 am - 4 pm almost every day - sometimes we have a meeting. I missing my Wonder book.

I want to wish everyone a happy summer. Remember to read - it is easy not to - Grace and Emma are having a hard time reading and I am their mom! Remember nothing is better than reading  - you will be ready for grade 6 or 7 if you read, read and read some more. Get off the screens - all of them - and head outside. Go up to Garry Point - wow! - Remember how easy it is to ride your bike up there - you all did it! Jaylem and Vishaan  - you will have to walk up. We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place - enjoy it. Get outside.

If you are extra keen - remember you can do 20 math questions a day on ixl. com. I am thinking of buying a year subscription for E, G and E to practice math skills over the summer.

Keep a journal - start a blog - add a picture and write about your daily adventures - send me the link.

Go to the library - once a week - get lost in a good book!

Take care - I hope to see lots of you around Steveston - perhaps I will see some of you next Tuesday at the Canada Day Parade.

Week of June 9 - 13

Dear Parents,
The Oval has cancelled Oval Day this Friday. We have cancelled Outdoor Ed. Pizza day on Friday - as I will be busy planning our Farewell/Recognition Assembly for Friday, June 13th at 1pm. All parents are welcome.

Fatty Legs - many students finished reading this short novel last week - it is still required reading.

Math - I will hand out a project that kids can complete on Wednesday when they are at home.

Writing - we are working on persuasive essay writing in class.

French - today students finished their French skits in class. Bravo!

Please return any books marked "Mrs. Wallace" on the front to school as soon as possible.

Good Morning Div. 3,
Our bike ride is cancelled today. Too many parents have to prepare for bike riding - now before they go to school - so we have to decide now. The bike ride this afternoon is cancelled. We may go tomorrow morning.
